Ayalaan is a science fiction comedy film directed by R. Ravikumar. Produced by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under KJR Studios. It stars Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar and Isha Koppikar in the lead roles. The music was composed by A.R. Rahman. Cinematography handled by Nirav Shah. Editing was done by Ruben. An alien from another planet accidentally enters Earth. It asks humans for help to come back. But things get harder when something nonsense happens. How Raghu(Sivakarthikeyan) and his friends bring the alien to its planet forms the rest of the story.
Post-production work is currently underway, with filming completed in January last year. Due to the plot revolving around an alien coming to Earth, the release of the film is said to have been delayed due to the financial crisis, with more VFX work involved. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the crew is planning to release the film during the Christmas holidays this year as the crew is working on finishing the film in full swing.
